Throughout human literature, the supernatural creatures came in myths both verbal and written form. Along with vampires came the idea of Lycans. Wolves were always seen to have this mysterious connection to humans, often found purposely hunting in groups, and destroying farmland from innocent farm owners. People blamed curses that created the word "lycanthrope" or anthropomorphic wolves, half-man half-human.

What humans did not know was that it was not always the case. Pure lycans in packs, in fact were more like Native American tales. They were mostly considered shape shifters, because their whole human body would shape shift into pure wolves. They were much larger, but like wolves, hunt in packs and avoid human contact in the daytime. In addition to the natural characteristics inherent to both wolves and humans, werewolves are often attributed strength and speed far beyond those of wolves or men. Within the lycan society, these are the higher ranks because they can choose to shape shift whenever they want and are not dependent on the skies.


What many do not realize is that the anthropomorphic wolves were the converted lycans. Unlike their pure lycan brothers, these "converted" lycans would only shift into their more wild form only if there is a full moon. They cannot form completely into wolves because they were not given the genetics. And they are the ones that most cases of lycan attacks are involved. They LACK control.


Now they are using their sharp senses as mercenaries. For which group? Well whichever benefits them the most.
