Background

Danysia has lived her entire life as an outcast. She's never had a proper home; her mother died shortly after she was born and her father, well let's just say he's never been able to have anything to do with her, much less want to. Danysia's father remains the next in line to the head of the Báthory Coven. If anyone realised he had had an affair with a human girl, that title would be stripped of him and he would be cast out of the ancient coven as a rogue. This thought has filled him with such bitterness, and he blames it on Danysia - she's the proof that could bring about his downfall.

Danysia's only family has been with the Human Vampire Alliance. She doesn't know how they got hold of her after her mother's death, and as a newborn child her father would have rather had her killed than still live on as a reminder of the past, but she has her theories. She grew up fairly isolated from the main community, by no one's fault but her own. Danysia has all this pent up anger inside, and has a tendency to accept the blame whenever anything happens. She took a massive interest in martial arts as an emotional release from said anger - she's quite skilled at archery and can kick box the shit out of a grown man twice her size.

Being a hybrid has more helped than hindered Danni's case. Her vampirism has always been a benefit, as the stamina she's acquired for training and the extra strength has tended to lean in her favour. She's kind of grateful about that stuff. Danysia doesn't talk to people much, but that doesn't mean she's unintelligent; nor does it imply she's a genius. She's as smart as the next person, but what sets her apart from most is her ability to process situations logically. She's good at making snap decisions, but sometimes they don't end up in the right place - her logicality can be over-run by her anger at times. These decisions have landed Danysia in a grounded-like situation. She's not allowed to leave HVA headquarters without supervision from her guardian. She gets easily frustrated by that, pretty obviously.
